If you own a 14-inch Ludwig Super Sensitive snare drum that was made between 1920 and 1968, you have quite a special instrument on your hands. Vintage instruments are often celebrated for their unique sound, but it can be rather difficult to find replacement parts for them. That's why PureSound released a special Vintage series of snare wires. The PS1412 snare wires are part of that series, and are made to fit those older Ludwig SS snares. One of the first things you'll notice about them, is their T-shaped end plates that the 12 steel strands are attached to. With their strand length of 16 inches, and their overall length of 16 7/8 inches, they fit the vintage Ludwig like a glove!
