The Stage 2 EX series consists of three stage pianos that include one version with a 73-key waterfall keyboard and two versions with weighted hammer-action keys: the 88-key version and this 76-key version, the Nord Stage 2 EX HP76. Its 76 keys have a special Hammer Action Portable keybed that makes this instrument remarkably light despite its weighted keys. That makes it a great choice for the piano-loving keyboardist who wants to take their instrument with them. Apart from its lighter weight, the Stage 2 EX series differs from the heavier Stage 2's with its 1 GB of piano memory and a renewed sample library.

Stage 2 EX HP76: piano, organ, synth and effects

The Stage 2 products are among Clavia Nord's most versatile. They are perfect for keyboardists who are primarily focused on piano and organ sounds, but who are interested in getting into synth sounds too. All three sections (piano, organ and synth) can be used simultaneously and extensively manipulated using the comprehensive onboard effects. In addition to tremolo, wah, phaser, chorus, flanger and delay effects, there are also convincing amplifier and speaker emulations, as well as a 3-band EQ, compressor and reverb.

User-friendly interface

Despite the number of functions you'll find on the Stage 2 EQ HP76, the well-thought out interface means that you'll get to grips with it in no time. Controls for piano, organ, and synth all have their own place on this stage piano for a clear overview. For fast access to the sounds you use most, which is especially handy when playing live, there is a special Programming and Control section where you can store and recall presets easily. You won't find complicated menu structures on this instrument, just intuitive, quick and easy controls for optimal operation. It's even easy to integrate an external MIDI instrument with the Stage 2 EX and make use of zones, splits, layers and programs.
