Furthermore, because the top edge is folded in on itself, it has a larger playing surface for your sticks when playing rimshots. This effectively extends the lifespan of your sticks without compromising your ability to play proper rimshots. Their design makes the Sonic Saver hoops a great compromise between the light and airy triple-flanged hoops, and the rigid, heavy die-cast hoops!
This particular hoop is suited for the batter side of any snare drum with a diameter of 12 inches and 8 lugs, and it has a chrome finish that will look good on pretty much any snare drum.
