Sabian Artisan 20 tums Metal Ride cymbal

Allmänt

After his older brother took over as the head of the Zildjian company in 1981, Robert Zildjian founded a new company named after his three children, Sally, Bill and Andy (SaBiAn). Since then, Sabian has become one of the world's leading cymbal brands and enjoys a great reputation as one of the 'big four' of cymbal manufacturing, along with Zildjian, Paiste and Meinl.

Sabian Artisan series

Cymbals in the Artisan series were originally part of Sabian's Vault line, which consisted of unique and sometimes even experimental cymbals. Eventually the Vault line was disbanded and its cymbals were placed into one of Sabian's other series, depending on which one best suited their sound. The Artisan cymbals, however, were exempt from this rule and became their own series. They aim to combine a dark, vintage sound with modern brilliance, resulting in a line of premium cymbals that simply ooze musicality. It's no wonder that Sabian has classified these cymbals as 'Masterpiece Dark'.

Sabian Artisan 20-inch Medium Ride cymbal

The 20-inch Artisan Medium Ride is a beautiful cymbal with excellent stick definition. It has a relatively high pitch and plenty of weight to make playing fast patterns a breeze. As a heavier cymbal, it has plenty of power and it will cut through the mix with relative ease. It has a dark, musical sound and when you get it to open up, this 20-inch Artisan Medium Ride produces a great wash and displays a remarkable dynamic range, making it a viable choice in both intimate settings and larger scale performances.
