JHS Pedals' Lucky Cat Delay used be known as the Pink Panther Delay, but MGM Studios requested a name change. The previous incarnation of the pedal also featured a chip set that was no longer available so JHS took the opportunity to completely redesign it. The Lucky Cat Delay has two modulation settings, two delay modes and various on-board controls as well as a built-in tap tempo switch.

Lucky Cat Delay: controls

The time knob gives you up to 1000 ms of delay and you can adjust the amount of the effect on the original signal by using the mix knob. Ratio works together with the tap tempo function and gives you options of quarter notes, dotted eighth notes, eighth notes and triplets. The repeat knob lets you adjust the number of repeats and when you turn it all the way up, you can enjoy musical digital oscillations. There's also a dark knob that works as an EQ on the repeats.

Modulation and more

The Lucky Cat has a mini-switch that gives you two different modulation settings. Mod 1 is subtle and Mod 2 gives you a deeper chorus-like effect. If you don't want any modulation at all, you can simply put the switch in the mid position. There's an additional switch on the side too that lets you choose between digital clean tones or more compressed vintage tape sounds. Last but not least, there's a jack input so that you can control the tempo of the delay with an external pedal.
