The VOX StompLab IB proves that a multi-effect pedal for bass guitar doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. This small yet sturdy little pedal uses the same modelling technology as the award-winning VT+ guitar amplifiers and ToneLab effect processors. It has no fewer than 60 faithfully reproduced bass amplifiers and effect models on board, and even comes with a built-in chromatic tuner. When designing the StompLab IB, VOX took special care to keep bass players in mind who would be new to multi-effect pedals, and you'll see that in the simple, user-friendly result.
VOX StompLab IB: get going quickly with presets
You don't need to know anything about effects or programming to quickly get a great bass sound from the VOX StompLab IB. The pedal is equipped with 100 preprogrammed sounds, which are also called presets. These presets are organised by music genre to make them easy to find, and you can choose from styles including jazz/fusion, pop, rock, heavy funk and dance. Each category offers a choice of 10 different variations. Finding the ideal bass guitar sound is a piece of cake with the VOX StompLab IB, whether you're looking for something traditional or a bit more experimental.
Create and save your own sounds
While playing with presets is fun, eventually you're probably going to want to make your own sounds too. Luckily, that's as easy as pie with the VOX StompLab IB. The 60 sounds are divided into seven categories of stompbox effects (pedal), amplifiers (amp), distortions/overdrives (drive), speaker cabinets (cabinet), modulation, delay and reverb effects. With the Noise Reduction included, you can use no fewer than eight of these effects simultaneously! In fact, every effect can be adjusted in detail with just two knobs. Finally, the StompLab IB offers 20 memory slots for saving your own sound creations!
