Allmänt
Guitar effects are always a fun way to add colour to your sound. You can always buy separate stompboxes for all your effects but the price quickly adds up. Fortunately, for those of us without limited funds (and space!), there are multi-effects units like the NUX Cerebus that has no less than 16 effects on board. That includes analogue overdrive and distortion for authentic shredding. Other effects include modulation, chorus, delay and reverb.
Cerberus: all the way
While overdrives are better placed before the amplifier in your chain, modulation effects are better in the effects loop. That's why the Cerebus lets you connect your equipment via the 'four cable method'. This means the Cerebus is connected between your guitar and your amplifier but also in your effects loop. The result of this is that each effect is in the right place in the chain for optimal results.
Complete
The Cerebus also has a built-in tuner as well as programmable presets. Find yourself a great sound, add the effects you want and save everything to one of the presets for later use. Recall settings whenever you like at the push of a button and you'll be ready to rock again in an instant.
MIDI
If you have MIDI equipment, you can easily connect that to the Cerebus too. Whether you're just getting into guitar effects or you're looking for a more comprehensive and compact device, the NUX Cerberus is an excellent choice.
