The BTX-BEAM 2R is modelled after the BTX BEAM 5R MSD beam moving head. A notable difference between the two is that this one features the legendary Philips MSD Platinum 2R lamp instead of the 5R. Thanks to the BTX-BEAM 2R's excellent optics, it produces a powerful, bright beam of light. It produces a whopping light output of 338,400 lux at 5 metres and 92,420 at 10 metres. Add a DMX-controlled electronic focus, a very quick mechanical dimmer/shutter, several strobe functions and this is a moving head to be reckoned with.
BTX-BEAM 2R: functions
The incredibly quick movements of the BTX-BEAM 2R allow for amazing light shows. Its Philips MSD 2R ensures a massive output as the gas-discharge lamp produces a high-density light beam. With a colour temperature of 8,000 Kelvin, it is massively clear. Moreover, this lamp is very energy-efficient and has an average lifespan of up to 6,000 hours. The clear LCD display allows you to easily navigate several menus. The BTX-BEAM 2R is equipped with 17 gobos, 14 different colours, two rotating prisms (one DMX-controlled with 8 facets and one trapezoid prism for special effects) and Neutrik PowerCon connectors. The PowerCon connectors allow you to chain up to 16 BTX-BEAM 2Rs for easy installation in professional setups.
