Allmänt
Meet the Launchpad Pro, Novation's successor to the Launchpad. Just like its predecessor, this controller features a comprehensive layout and a sleek design. An 8x8 grid of velocity and pressure-sensitive pads offers tons of feedback without getting confusing, as the keys light up in different colours depending on their current function. The modular interface makes this controller ideal for controlling Ableton Live, though it works perfectly with every common sequencer. One thing's for sure: this controller will never get in the way of your creativity!
Novation Launchpad Pro: Operation
In order to maintain a clear oversight over the various controls, Novation chose to divide the controls per mode. The first mode is Session mode, which allows you to get going with Live right away and to trigger and combine your clips to your heart's desire. In the second mode, Note mode, the Launchpad Pro functions as an instrument. That means that you can trigger different notes, which is particularly handy for programming beats. In Device mode you can control effects and edit, and the final mode, User mode, allows you to adjust everything to suit your own preferences.
More than a grid
The RGB pads aren't alone on the controller. They're joined by a border of 32 multifunctional buttons (4 lines of 8 buttons each) so you can easily control your sequencer's transport functions (play, stop, pause, etc.), as well as use eight freely assignable buttons to best suit your purposes. The assignable buttons can be adjusted via the MIDI learn function in Live. Finally, you'll find that this controller features a nice, lightweight design that makes it ideal for when you're on the go!
