The Korg padKONTROL, one of the most innovative and popular controllers available, now comes in an attractive black edition as well. With the velocity-sensitive trigger pads and the XY touch pad you can create fantastic beats in no time whatsoever.

The padKONTROL does more than just produce drum beats, though. It also allows you to control software synths and effects, or to trigger loops and video clips, and serves as a transport controller for your DAW programs as well.

Each of the 16 trigger pads of the padKONTROL can be assigned to a note number and MIDI channel, enabling you to control a single drum kit, or to map it to control several instruments in the same setup simultaneously. Eight different dynamic curves are available for each pad, but you can also choose to assign each pad with a fixed level. This allows you to set certain instruments to respond to your playing style, while others always play at the same perfect velocity and volume, no matter how fierce or gentle your strokes.

The X-Y pad enables you to determine the timing and dynamics of the Flam and Roll functions, but it is also capable of controlling two continuous parameters, such as pitch bend and reverb. With the help of an optional foot switch you can add bass drum kicks or open and close a hi-hat.

The Korg padKONTROL is supplied with an accessory copy of Editor/Librarian software for Windows XP and Mac OS X, which enables you to effortlessly create, store and organise scene libraries.
