Over the years, Akai's MPC series has achieved an iconic status. MPCs provide you with a quick and easy way of making beats and producing tracks. The MPC Touch is no exception, and also allows for a highly intuitive workflow thanks to a 7" multi-touch colour display that lets you manipulate waveforms, add effects, draw MIDI events and adjust parameters with your fingers. The controller comes with MPC software that includes a library of over 20 GB of sounds and loops. This means you can get straight down to business as soon as you've unpacked your Akai MPC Touch!

Akai MPC Touch: get inside the music

In addition to the familiar performance pads and transport section, the MPC Touch features a large multi-touch colour display that, just like a tablet, makes it possible to zoom in on the information you're looking for. This intuitive way of working makes it even easier to turn your beat concepts into fully produced tracks. Browsing your library is simple using the large data encoder - just twist and push it to select. The MPC Touch features the same four touch-sensitive knobs as the Renaissance. Assign them with the functions and effects you want, and your controller will do exactly what you want it to while producing or performing.

Comprehensive sound library

With the MPC Touch, Akai offers an innovative piece of technology to produce and tweak sound. To get you off to a flying start, the controller comes with over 20,000 sounds in various styles, courtesy of renowned audio wizards like AIR, CR2, Toolroom, MVP Loops, SONIVOX and Prime Loops. The familiar though revamped performance pads allow you to trigger sounds, mix your tracks, program beats, etc., while their coloured lights provide you with the information you need. Like any MPC, the MPC Touch offers plenty of controls, but is still just as user-friendly as a smartphone or a tablet. This is the ideal hardware controller for your favourite DAW.
