With their MPC Studio Black studio controller, Akai breathes new life into this concept and adds modern specifications as well. The original MPC60 was equipped with just 768 KB of memory, while the new MPC Studio Black comes with an impressive 7 GB of samples!

Essentially, the MPC is a USB MIDI controller, and the included software (MPC Software) is responsible for the sounds.
