The Pigtronics Infinity Looper might actually be the ultimate uber-looping station. The innovative 'SYNC MULTI' alone is worthy of its own stompbox since it has the power to a-synchronise two loops or play them in series. Another mode offers a kind of multiplication function wherein loop 2 can be made once, twice, three times, four times or even six times the length of loop 1. Input one can be assigned to loop 1and input two can be assigned to loop 2 to that recording separate instruments on different loops is that bit easy and frankly obvious. The AUX Loop is perhaps also a blessing for drummers since it can be set up to send looped audio-fragments to a monitor so that keeping time with the Infinity Looper is less of a hassle. Hook up an expression pedal for hands-free loop volume control and use the MIDI input to connect this Borg-styled stompbox to a DAW from which you can send start and stop commands. By connecting an Infinity Remote Switch (sold separately), the Infinity is expanded to include a Reverse option that, instead of immediately playing a loop backwards as soon as you hit, the pedal waits until the start of the next repeat and can be toggled off part-way through the repeat by using the Undo function of the switch. All in all and perhaps infinitely, yes - this is an eye-wateringly comprehensive and imaginative looper.
