Klotz AC106SW ljudkabel, 0,22 mm², ø 5,5 mm, 100 m

Prima kabel. Vrij kleine diameter van de buitenkabel, wat hem redelijk soepel maakt. Nadeel daarvan is dat hij veel speeling heeft in een 6.3mm plug.

Gitaar kabel van gemaakt... prima. Wel jammer dat de kabel geen gevlochten mantel heeft. Ik zou graag wat meer uitgegeven als Bax ook nog een tandje hogere kwaliteit aan zou bieden.

Hiermee een nieuw gitaarsnoer van 5 meter gemaakt.
Door de lage capaciteit ( enkele picofarads/meter) zeer weinig hoge tonen verlies.
Meteen een veel mooier sprankelend geluid.
Oude gitaarkabel meteen in de container.

Fijne, soepele kabel. Mantel om de kabel heen is erg stevig. Dit is een beetje lastig als je wil solderen, maar geeft je wel de garantie dat de rest van je kabel heel blijft.

First off Bax-shop is best shop there is and no I am not working for them and no I have not being payed to say it. I left thousands Euro in their shop.

I have been Klotz man from first cable I got from them like some 25 years ago. I still have it or better say what is left of it. True 25+ years it survived everything. Being burned, kinked, pinched, squeezed by door...
It always kept going on.

Until I have broke connectors or better say soldering joint inside connectors pulling on cable that was stuck while running.

I have even retired it. Then I have cut it in nicer peaces and soldered Neutrik jacks on it. Still going on strong. When you take isolation off copper is dark now after those years but no loss in high end no extra capacitance all details come true. No noise when bending it either.

So was true for all Klotz cables I have ever owned or played with.

I got bunch of Nutrik connectors and sure when I saw this offer in Bax-shop I thought that is it. Time for new cables everywhere. This was like two-three years back.

I have made one 6 meter and few 3 meter cables first. Tried out and wait what happened here? Is that my Rig? No it can not be. something is broken right?

Nope other cable and back to normal?

OK 6 meters might be to long for this cable tried 3 meter version nope same. All details gone. No life just dull bad sounding rig.

Tried it in other rig and same shit.

Pedal board, no pedal board, same.

Than I remember I got one of those thin free cables you get with stuff sometimes. 100x better. OFC worse than my other cables but way better than this?

So I retired it.

In last few years I have used it for other things and very very short runs (5-10 centimeters) in use with stronger signal (not for instruments) it was OK.

Mind you copper is shiny no issues what so ever found.

Few days ago I got another ABY box and I have had 4 Neutrik jacks and I need two more cables. No more cable just that Klotz AC106.

I thought wait I will make 1,5 meters cables. So I did and even than I could not believe how bad it was.

If anyone needs a proof I will make comparation video and post it on YouTube.

It is simply impossible.


This does not mean Klotz sucks. But this AC106 cable is plain useless for instrument cable (guitar cable).

Isolation is perfect. Not noisy at all. Solid as any Klotz but signal is murdered when it passes true this POS.


I am talking about clean sound with good amps. To get best clean signal I have tested it with few Stratocasters (AY Custom '69 and Vintage 60) and with PRS (split coils) as well as with 3 LP's ranging from mini humbuckers , EMG 81/85 and EMG Het set as well as with ESP with EMG.

Sure biggest difference was with maple neck Stratocaster with Custom '69's.

Tested with AC30, JTM-45 hand wired, Boutigue single end amp with 6V6, Boutique Single end with EL84, Boutique Marshal 18 watt TBM clone, Fender Super 112.

Always same result. Other cables = perfect sound. Klotz AC106 and like someone killed everything. Details gone and dead sounding rigs.


Shorter run has bit more highs but they are sterile. Buffer helps a little but it is still bad.

This is not a cable to make low voltage instrument cables with. This is for short runs with 1V more signal cable. This can be good for a remote amp switches that turn tremolo or something on. Cables that do nto carry your signal.

I have not tried it in effect loops but after all testing nope thanks but nope.


I have never asked money back nor I will. I have cut it in small peaces by now and I am using it for alternative purposes.

Mechanically it is strong resilient real Klotz product.

Sound wise it is junk. Do not believe it? Well buy it and try it. Well do not waste money and do not get negative towards Klotz they have pro cables as well only AC106 is not one of those.

Prima kwaliteitskabel. Gebuik ik voor mijn gitaar 5 meter.

Erg flexibele en stevige kabel.

Ik gebruik deze voor patchkabels en voor langere kabels, met neutrik pluggen.

Ik heb deze kabel gebruikt om een aantal nieuwe patchkabels voor mijn pedalboard te maken. Prima kabel voor dit doel. Stevig, redelijk flexibel en makkelijk te 'strippen'.
