Stagg EDB-3/4 VBR elektrisk kontrabas
Allmänt
The Stagg EDB-3/4 BK electric bass offers all the authentic sound and playing feel of an acoustic double bass while taking up much less space. This slim bass has no cumbersome sound chamber, is amplified by a built-in pickup and, since it comes with a headphone output, is as perfect for home practice as it is for hassle free travel to and from rehearsals.
The Stagg EDB-3/4 BK: Slimline Body and Big Sound
The maple body and neck of the EDB-3/4 lend the instrument an incredibly natural feel and, since the headstock is equipped with a set of P-style machine heads, comes with highly reliable tuning stability. The active pickup is simply powered by a standard 9V battery and discrete volume and bass controls line the side so that, whether you're playing jazz, rockabilly, something more classical or something even heavier, the Stagg EDB-3/4 BK can be tweaked to fit.
Natural Playability
Besides the faithful emulation of the feel of an acoustic double bass, maximum playability is ensured by the adjustable height of the bridge and while the Stagg EDB-3/4 aims for authenticity by offering a more manageable version of its inspiration, it also presents the opportunity to create unique sounds when effects pedals are thrown into the mix. This violin burst-finished version comes complete with its very own gig bag with fitted shoulder strap.

First off, I want to say that at the end of the day, this instrument sounds fine. That said, there are numerous issues with this instrument, and Stagg in general. I would say not to buy this online, and understand that what you are buying is CHEAP.
First off, when I received the bass, it had a massive crack on the back. Does not affect playability, but basically I bought a well used instrument worth a fraction of what I paid for it. Secondly, there is a chip on the side of the fret board- again not affecting playability.
Third, there is an undocumented issue with the leg that causes it to rattle. After several months of sending emails to Stagg, finally they told me to buy a screw and insert it into the back of the lower body. I don't know why this screw is not included, but I got one (time = money).
Forth, the electronics are CHEAP and odd. I don't trust them to be honest.
Fifth, Stagg really didn't honor their warranty. I have dozens of emails to Stagg as well as to the store where I bought the bass. Stagg actually accused me of dropping the instrument and then trying to make a bogus claim. Since I video'd the opening of the box, I sent it to them- that shut them up real quickly, but they didn't apologize.
The bass is cool, it sounds good, and people in general love it. The thing is that the components are cheap and the company is pretty lame. Not American-style service.
If you do buy this, get a stand otherwise you'll always be worried about it falling over.
