The body of the GC82S

The sound of an acoustic guitar is most heavily influenced by the wood used for the top, and because the Yamaha GC82-S has a solid spruce top it produces a sound that is balanced and clear. It isn't all highs though, because this guitar also produces rich trebles and deep basses thanks to the brown Madagascar rosewood that makes up the sides and back of the body.

The Yamaha GC-82-S is one of the few guitars from the GC series with a cedar neck, which adds a nice fullness to the overall tone. To make it even more exclusive, this exquisite instrument uses Madagascar rosewood instead of the typical Indian rosewood you'll find on most guitars. Finish it all off with a shellac gloss that is thin enough to encourage optimal resonance.
