Allmänt
The cream of the Spanish guitar brand Perez's crop is the handmade Luthier series, though the 711 Cedro runs a very close second. The 711 Cedro is a high-quality classical guitar with a friendlier price tag than the Luthier series. This particular model features a solid cedar top for a warm, dark sound. If you'd prefer a brighter sound with more sparkle, this model is also available with a solid spruce top (Abeto model). Of course, a Spanish guitar with this kind of beauty and quality deserves good protection during transport, and that’s why the 711 Cedro also comes with a rugged lightweight case.
Perez 711 Cedro: all-solid classical guitar
It stands to reason that a classical guitar of this calibre would be constructed of all solid wood. Indeed, the 711 Cedro features a solid American cedar top with solid Indian rosewood sides/back. Such a combination means that the guitar provides a full, deep, rich sound that you wouldn't be able to get from a laminated model. Lightweight cedar was used for the neck, which is accompanied by an ebony fretboard for some added bite in the trebles. Finally, an ebony reinforcement runs down the middle of the neck to provide extra support and stability for tighter intonation.
Neat, stylish finish
The excellent sound and construction of the Perez 711 isn't the only proof of the fantastic craftsmanship that went into its making: the sleek finish is another indication of its quality. This classical guitar has been tastefully decorated with multi-layer body bindings of rosewood, and other wood types. It also features a beautiful, multi-coloured, handmade wooden rosette. An extra-thin high gloss lacquer was applied to the guitar to complete the picture and to provide unhindered resonance. Finally, you'll find a chic set of high-quality gold-plated tuners on the headstock, and they're finished with lovely mother-of-pearl buttons.
