Since the introduction of the first Tyros in 2002 a lot has changed in the world of workstations. In that time, Yamaha has worked their way up to the Tyros 5, an impressive instrument that transcends its anything-but-childish predecessor, the Tyros 4. This fifth generation model still has all the features you love most: a wide range of music styles and voices, a sea of editing and expansion possibilities, and a wide range of connection options. Among the new improvements you'll find Organ World, Ensemble Voice, Audio Styles and a modern DSP processor with highly adaptable VST-like effects. 

Tyros 5: Audio Styles 

It would seem as if MIDI styles have become a thing of the past. The Yamaha Tyros5 contains 40 audio styles along with drum and percussion accompaniments created from recordings with real session drummers whose diverse styles come through authentically. No more lifeless MIDI accompaniments, but a band of flesh and blood. Don't underestimate how much this real rhythm section will change your playing experience. Luckily, you'll still get the same flexibility in tempo changes, thanks to the advanced Time Stretch technology by Yamaha. 

Organ World & Ensemble Voice 

The Organ World feature is new, and with it you get sublime reproductions of tone wheel organs, pipe organs, theatre organs and other electronic models. The TFT display shows relevant registers, effects and parameters, depending on the selected organ. In terms of instrument sections, there is a new and improved Ensemble Voice function which ensures that the string or brass parts are reproduced in the most authentic manner possible. Nuance, dynamics and timing have been improved with the Human Sing function so that it sounds as if a real live ensemble is performing. The numerous ensemble presets now sound more realistic than ever, making the Tyros 5 perfect for arrangements and live playing.
