Yamaha's Sonogenic SHS-500 is a keytar that's perfect for those taking their first steps into playing a musical instrument. Thanks to Yamaha's special Chord Tracker app, anyone can play this keytar without hitting a wrong note or chord when playing along with a song! This is possible because the app analyses the song that's playing on your smartphone or tablet and sends MIDI information to the keytar via Bluetooth to ensure that only those notes that match the song are available to play when you're using the JAM function. For beginners in particular, this function is fun and motivating, but for those with more experience, the Sonogenic SHS-500 has plenty more to offer too.

Bluetooth can also be used to connect the SHS-500 to a computer so that you can use it as a wireless MIDI controller with virtual instruments! This opens up many more possibilities for use at home, in the studio or even on stage. You can also connect an external sound source like a smartphone using a cable and play music through the keytar's built-in speakers or even connect it to an amplifier. There are 30 sounds on board including pianos, synths and drum kits. Other features include pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave shift, key transpose, playback controls and more.
