Allmänt
For keyboard players who like to play Oriental music, Yamaha introduced the Yamaha PSR-A3000. Although this Oriental keyboard might look like a regular Yamaha keyboard - albeit a rather professional one - a closer look reveals that it is more than just that. Besides the usual impressive array of voices, it also has a range of Oriental Voices (171 of them, to be exact), as well as special Oriental drum kits (25 of those), and the option to switch to a special scale that's more suited for Oriental music. What's more, the PSR-A3000 makes it all sound even more realistic and powerful compared to the A2000, thanks to the improved voices and the extra-large speakers.
PSR-A3000: Expression and Settings
The Yamaha PSR-A3000 features many different voices and accompaniment styles, which are all easily accessible through the large TFT colour display. Furthermore, you'll have access to a wealth of options for expression and plenty of adjustable settings. On the left side of the instrument, you'll find a joystick that's not just great for pitch bend and modulation but can also control features such as Filter and Style Track muting. Assigning these features to the joystick is a quick and easy process and if you want to make your own voices using WAV files, just download the free Yamaha Expansion Manager software!
Accompaniment
On the PSR-A3000, you'll also find the Audio Link multi pads, which allow you to trigger audio files, such as vocal melodies or sound effects, from a USB stick. You can even put complete tracks on a USB stick, that you can then use as accompaniment. Alternatively, there is also the mini-jack aux input that you can use to connect an external device like your tablet or smartphone. Of course, this keyboard has plenty of built-in accompaniment styles that you can edit with the Style Creator that can even be used to edit the included drum kits.
