They are luxury products, after all, and people who work with them often have their own superior external speaker system. Nevertheless, if you'd prefer your Pa4X with a semi-integrated speaker system, Korg offers the perfect solution. The Korg Pa4X 61 Pack PaAS combines the arranger workstation with a separate speaker set that can be attached to it, turning the Pa4X into an autonomous, all-in-one device.
Characteristics of the Korg Pa4X
The Pa4X is a comprehensive piece of technology - it will take some time before you've discovered all the fantastic features it has to offer. It boasts a collection of outstanding sounds and styles, and even offers 400 MB of sample memory for your own sounds, making this a truly timeless instrument. It's possible to create your own styles, and you can even have the Korg workstation convert a few bars from a MIDI file into a custom style. The Pa4X's effects are the result of a collaboration with TC-Helicon and Waves, so a professional sound is always ensured.
The PaAS
The Korg PaAS is a three-way amplification system with matching speakers. Two tweeters, two mid-frequency drivers and a subwoofer - driven by a 2x 20W plus 1x 40W amplifier module - reproduce the sounds you create with your Pa4X workstation. Two times 20 watts power the tweeters and the 80mm mid-frequency drivers of the PaAS system, while 40 watts of power are used to drive the 130mm subwoofer with its dual voice coil. As such, you're able to create quite a racket with a cabinet that requires hardly any space at all.
