The sE Electronics ProMic Laser is an affordable shotgun microphone with a robust design and great sound. It has a durable aluminium housing and is light of weight. Thanks to this light weight, you will hardly feel the ProMic Laser mounted on your DSLR or video camera. Also, the accessory shockmount with camera mount lets you mount it instantly. At the rear you will find a 3.5mm jack connector that allows for a direct connection, via the accessory coiled cable, to the microphone input of the camera.

The microphones in a camera are usually not of the highest quality and therefore your recordings might be marred by noise and overdriving. In short, you are filming in HD, but the sound lags behind! The electret capsule of the ProMic Laser is highly sensitive and features low self noise, so that the shotgun will record the environmental sound beautifully. When you're filming in a noisy environment, you can attenuate the recording level with 10 dB via the pad switch. Furthermore, the ProMic Laser features a low-cut switch.

Flat frequency response and power

Compared to competitors in its price range, the Laser has an exceptionally flat frequency response, which ensures that the environmental sound is registered accurately. Like any other shotgun, the sE Electronics ProMic Laser needs power to work. This is provided with a single AA battery.
