Backed by its gigantic collection of virtual instruments and effects, Native Instruments Komplete 13 Ultimate sets the software-based standard for in-the-box productions. Not only because of said abundance of sounds, but because it gets you Kontakt 6 for full access to all current Kontakt libraries as well as a number of algorithmic synthesizers from the days of (g)old such as the FM8, Massive, Absynth and Reaktor. Needless to say, the Kontakt libraries are the real cherries on top here, although you'll want to keep in mind that access to all of these require a whopping 840GB of free hard disk space (minimum of 20GB required for installation). What you'll get in return are 840 GBs worth of anything from pianos, strings, wind instruments and drums to guitars, choirs, synthesizers, new age and ambient sounds. Seriously, if it's not included in Native Instruments Komplete 13 Ultimate, chances are it simply doesn't exist.

Native Instruments Komplete 13 Ultimate

Mijn vorige reviews zijn niet correct. De upgrade van Komplete Select naar Komplete Ultimate kost toch gewoon $1000 (oftwel €1000). Alleen gedurende summer sales in juni (Memorial Day) en Black Friday sales in december kun je 50% korting krijgen op upgrades en updates (net na een release van een nieuwe versie van Komplete is de 50% korting alleen op de upgrades).

Ik geef nu 5 sterren zodat het gemiddelde uitkomt op 4 sterren.

Ik heb een paar aanvullingen / correcties op mijn eerdere review:
- Voor Native Instruments zijn euro's gelijk aan dollars (dus overal waar ik dollar heb vermeld, kan het vervangen worden door euro)
- Bij de M32 en A25 krijg je niet gratis Komplete Select (dat is alleen bij Maschine en de S series).

Ik ben tevreden over het product, ik ben tevreden over de levering, maar waar ik niet tevreden over ben is de prijs. Dit komt niet door de Bax-shop maar door Native Instruments zelf. Ook op hun site kun je de Komplete Ultimate aanschaffen voor 1200 dollar (ik had deze met 7,5% gekocht bij Bax-shop, dat is bijna hetzelfde bedrag). Ik ben er achteraf achtergekomen dat het ook mogelijk is eerst Komplete Select aan te schaffen voor 200 dollar. Van daaruit kun je rechtstreeks upgraden naar Komplete Ultimate voor slechts 400 dollar. Op die manier kun je Komplete Ultimate aanschaffen voor 600 dollar. Daarnaast zijn er hardware producten van Native Instruments die goedkoper zijn dan 200 dollar en waar je Komplete Select gratis bij krijgt (M32, A25) dus dan betaal je zelfs minder dan 600 dollar voor Komplete Ultimate en heb je er ook nog een midi controller bij. Ik heb er dus al met al geen goed gevoel over als het om deze aankoop gaat.

Wat mij betreft mag Native Instruments dit beleid wel veranderen voor mensen die alleen maar geïnteresseerd zijn in hun software.
