There was a time when sample libraries were created by sampling each note once. That might be entertaining for a while, but it won't truly convince anyone. RealStrat 3 features several recorded samples for every fret of all six strings of a guitar. Some notes can even be played on various strings - and that's the key to RealStrat 3's incredible realism. The software keeps track of the position of your playing hand, and plays the next note on the nearest available string - just like an actual guitarist would. The chosen string affects the sound of the notes you play: low strings played in high positions sound different from high strings played in low positions.
