This red X-edition headphone amplifier by SPL is the logical next step after the Phonitor and the Phonitor 2, and next to being a headphone amplifier, it also functions as a stereo preamplifier. You can connect up to five stereo sources, and the red Phonitor X will provide you with a monitor sound of sublime quality. Adjust the volume of this amplifier from the Pro-Fi series with the infrared remote control. Just as with its predecessors, the speaker angle, crossfeed and centre point are also adjustable on this SPL headphone amplifier.
Phonitor X: balanced and unbalanced sound reproduction
This SPL preamplifier offers connections for both unbalanced and balanced headphones. The advanced built-in dual power preamp tightens the bass response and, together with the optimised Phonitor Matrix, ensures a balanced audio reproduction. It's possible to use a 4-pin or standard XLR connector, or equip the Phonitor X with a DA converter. This will allow you to add an optical digital stereo, coax and USB to the available inputs.
