The QSC installation set consists of 4 AD-S8T installation speakers and a GXD8 power amplifier. This sound system delivers exceptional audio coverage and performance. Mounting the speaker is relatively easy and it is able to withstand adverse weather conditions. Thanks to QSC's innovative DMT technology (Directivity Matched Transition), this speaker is able to provide consistent, balanced audio coverage. Many conventional speakers have a tweeter with a dispersion angle that doesn't match the subwoofer's, which means the sweet spot in the mid-range is mostly inaudible. QSC's AD-S8T speaker delivers a uniform frequency response over the full frequency range, resulting in an exceptional audio experience for your entire audience!

The QSC GDX8 Power Amplifier is a reliable, versatile amplifier that's suitable for professional audio applications. It delivers a capacity of no fewer than 4500 watts, making it an ideal partner for the four QSC AD-S8T installation speakers that are included in this set. The amp has a flexible DSP processor so you won't have to plug in your laptop or invest in any extra gear; you can adjust your settings directly on the amplifier itself! There is a high and low-pass filter, a 4-band equalizer, a limiter and a delay. The QSC set offers outstanding sound and value for money.

Wat een degelijke versterker!
Zeer licht in gewicht en dan toch zat vermogen, heel blij mee en de DSP werkt ook zeer fijn en duidelijk.
Scheelt enorm veel sjouw werk.
Dankzij de goede limiters ook heerlijk te gebruiken als floor monitorversterker.

for the price, usually around £650, you get 1200 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The build quality seems very good, the performance is excellent, and they'll happily drive a single E18SW (800W rms) per channel to high output levels. I have now used these for a number of events in the last couple of years and they have performed flawlessly. The built in DSP is very capable, and useful if you have more than one type of speaker in use. Being switch-mode, they're light, which is nice when you have seven of them in a flightcase. They seem to be built to a slightly better standard than the GXD4 - one of which I've had fail.

The only negative thing I can think of is that they lack air filters behind the grilles so after a summer of events they become quite dusty inside. Routine maintenance should include taking the lids off and cleaning them every so often.
