Besides the deluxe, modern aesthetics, the Ibanez GSR200SM four-string bass boasts the light and easy playability of a thin GSR4 maple neck finished with a 12 inch radiussed jatoba fretboard. The solid body has also been hewn from poplar wood, which is not just comfortable and lightweight but highly resonant and, for some high-end flair, comes topped with a slice of spalted maple. The poplar and jatoba combo gives this bass its naturally warm and defined acoustic tone, which is amplified in full by the mounted Dynamix J and Dynamix P pickups, guaranteeing a variable tonal spectrum, from round and fat to driving punch. And, since this model has been kitted out with a Phat II equalizer, you also gain an active boost, giving your bass sound some extra beef as and when it's needed. Polished off with a solid B10 bridge and a set of sealed oil-bed machine heads, this model also assures you of reliable tuning and stability.
