The Fender Jazz Bass V offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio for advanced bassists. Its maple bolt-on J Bass neck has the traditional Fender feel with modern refinement for added comfort, and it allows for rapid bass lines thanks to the 9.5-inch radius of the rosewood fretboard and 20 medium frets. Additionally, the Deluxe Active Okoume bass guitar is equipped with a Fender Hi-Mass bridge with five adjustable saddles that allow for intonation and which vastly increase tuning stability.
Fender DLX Active Jazz Bass V Okoume RW: familiar playing comfort with a modern twist
The pleasant, asymmetrical Jazz Bass V body is made of a west African wood type named okoume. As the Active Deluxe bass guitar has a natural finish, the dark colour and beautiful grain of the body is marvellously accentuated. It looks a lot like mahogany. However, as okoume has tonal properties similar to those of maple, you can still depend on the familiar Fender sound. The result is the renowned, distinctive Jazz Bass base sound with a creamy rosewood/maple punch.
Deluxe Active Bass Okoume
The Deluxe series offers excellent quality at a great price. Like all Okoume bass guitars, this one also features Fender's active electronics that consist of an active 3-band EQ and ultra-silent Noiseless pickups. The two noiseless pickups of this Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass V look and sound like traditional J-Bass single coils, but thanks to their stacked dual coil design they're as silent as humbuckers, so no more 50Hz hum. The volume, blend and 3-band EQ (boost/cut) potentiometers allow you to govern a vast range of bass guitar sounds.
