Fazley Classic Series FPB034 Sunburst 3/4-formaat elektrische basgitaar sunburst
I bought this bass in Rotterdam one year ago because I needed a lightweight, short-scale travel instrument. The handling is good, but straight out of the box it feels a bit like a toy due to its extremely light weight.
After a while, I upgraded it with Fender pickups, flatwound strings and — most importantly — a “Badass”-style bridge. Now the intonation, overall sound and string spacing feel much more like those of a full-grown instrument.
Since I bought it, this bass has been on stages in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and South Korea, and it will soon go on tour through Italy. For flights, I simply took off the neck and could even carry the whole instrument in my backpack and store it in the regular cabin luggage compartment.
All in all, it’s definitely not a Fender, and you can’t expect extremely high quality at this price point. But I would definitely buy it again.
