The Exercise Freak earphones are equipped with an integrated microphone and controls, and a soft tap against the ear plug allows you to switch between your music and a phone call (and vice versa). Maar hier zie je wel gelijk het grote voordeel van Bax: ik heb alles weer netjes schoongemaakt en in de originele verpakking geretourneerd. De volgende dag de bevestiging van de retourontvangst en 2 dagen later was het geld weer geretourneerd.

Wat daarnaast opvalt is dat bij lage volumes veel (klasse-D?) ruis hoorbaar is. Ook dit neigt naar een slecht doordacht design of matige implementatie.
De bouw lijkt wel oké te zijn, maar ergonomisch is anders. Daarnaast is het design erg gevoelig voor windgeruis, en is hij dus slecht bruikbaar tijdens wind of op de fiets. Dat hij als sport-accessoire niet eens spatwaterdicht is, draag ook niet positief bij aan dit totaalplaatje.
Voor max 20,- op DealExtreme had dit een leuke gadget kunnen zijn, maar in de sector waar Denon dit product positioneert, is het ronduit een blamage.
Kortom: Mijn exemplaar gaat retour.
