Are you looking for a Gretsch guitar with a vintage look that is also suited for heavier-style playing? This black G5622T-CB Electromatic electric guitar has a classic design and features a solid spruce 'center block' that runs along the length of its hollow body and reduces unwanted feedback when you're using high-gain distortion. As an additional benefit, it provides the guitar with more tone and increases its sustain. The G5622T features a 44mm thinline body with two cutaways and 1960s-style cat's eye sound holes, as well as three Gretsch Super HiLo'Tron low-noise humbucker pickups that produce a crystal-clear sound with a rugged low-end.
Gretsch G5622T-CB Electromatic: body, neck and hardware
The body of the Gretsch G5622T-CB is made of high-grade 5-ply maple and has an arched top and back. The neck of the guitar is also made of maple and features a rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, a 12.5-inch radius and Neo-Classic Thumbnail position markers. The G5622T-CB is equipped with a volume knob for each pickup, master volume and master tone controls and a three-way pickup switch. A two-way switch enables you to turn the middle pickup on or off. The Adjusto-Matic bridge of the guitar is accompanied by a Bigsby-licensed B70 tailpiece for subtle vibrato effects. Additionally, the guitar is fitted with a set of solid Grover kidney-shaped tuners, five 'G-arrow' knobs and a black pickguard adorned with a white Gretsch logo.
