The Gretsch G5620T-CB produces that renowned, characteristic hollow-body sound without any annoying feedback, thanks to a solid spruce 'center block' that provides the guitar with a lively sound, but counters high-gain feedback. The semi-acoustic guitar sports a glossy black finish and a typical Gretsch look, featuring a thin single-cutaway thinline body with cat's eye sound holes. A Black Top Filter'Tron bridge pickup and a low-noise Super HiLo'Tron neck pickup provide a powerful humbucker combination that ensures sparkling cleans with a rugged low-end.

Gretsch G5620T-CB Electromatic: construction and hardware

The body of the Gretsch G5620T-CB is constructed from high-grade 5-ply maple. Both top and back are arched and fitted with pretty bindings. The neck of the guitar is also made of maple and features a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, a 12.5-inch radius and Neo-Classic Thumbnail position markers. A three-way pickup switch, volume and tone controls per pickup and a master volume knob are at your disposal, as well as a fully adjustable Adjusto-Matic bridge with a Bigsby-licensed B70 vibrato tailpiece. Additionally, the guitar is fitted with a set of solid Grover kidney-shaped tuners and a black pickguard adorned with a white Gretsch logo.
