Allmänt

The affordable Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 (100 watts, 1x 12" speaker) is superior to just about any other guitar amp in its price class. Not only does it spew out an impressive 100 watts of power, it delivers an array of sounds thanks to its modelling technology. Another added bonus is that you can hook up your acoustic guitar or bass if you want! Simply select the right instrument, and the Vypyr VIP will give you the best audio settings in a flash.

Amplifier, stomp box and instrument modelling

Plug in your guitar and go crazy with the 36 different guitar amps, 6 bass guitar amps and 6 acoustic amps that are available; the tube types sound particularly convincing as a result of the patented TransTube technology. You also have a number of channels available per type at your disposal. With a flick of the wrist, you can set up stomp box effects or turn your guitar into an acoustic, a 7 or 12-string, a mandolin, or even a baritone, resonator, violin or bass!

Everything you could possibly need

Practically everything you could possibly want in an amp is available in the Vypyr VIP 3. It has a chromatic tuner, a looper (driven by the optionally available Sanpera), a tap-tempo function and a headphone output. Hook up an external audio source using the mini jack input, and a USB port makes it possible to use the VIP as an audio interface so you can record files on your computer. Any way you look at it, it's a practical modelling amp for use at home or on stage!

Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 1x 12 tums 100 watts modelleringsförstärkare gitarr combo

Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 1x 12 tums 100 watts modelleringsförstärkare gitarr combo

Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 1x 12 tums 100 watts modelleringsförstärkare gitarr combo

This is my first venture into the world of modelling amps and as a newbie, I have the following reviews:

Seems fantastic value for the quality of equipment.

Very good sound and effects range.

Good, helpful response from Peavey forum members.

Fairly pathetic users manual, especially for creating and saving new pre-sets.

Not sure I gained anything over the cheaper VIP 2.
