The Fender Acoustasonic 150 is the stereo version of the Acoustasonic 100 as it features not one, but two 8-inch woofers and 2x 75 watts of power for a much more spacious sound. The Acoustasonic 150 also has an effect loop so you can add your own external effects to your sound. In addition, this compact acoustic guitar amplifier shares much of its little brother's versatile features and with a weight of just 10.2 kilos it is really light. Live or in the studio, the Acoustasonic 150 is a true performer!
Acoustasonic 150: versatile two-channel acoustic guitar amplifier
The Acoustasonic 150 has a 6.35mm guitar input on the first channel and an XLR / jack combo input on the second one, which means you can connect a microphone or second instrument in addition to your electro-acoustic guitar. Both channels have an independent EQ and effect section with 9 digital effects such as reverb, delay chorus and Vibratone. Channel 1's voicing function will make your guitar sound like a Parlor, Dreadnought or Jumbo. You can even plug in your electric guitar and choose from three different amplifier voicings: Fender Blackface for cleans, Fender Tweed for an edge and British (Marshall) for distortion. How's that for versatility?
Practical additional features including stereo effect loop
There a number of additional functions of the Acoustasonic 150, including the unique String Dynamics compressor on channel 1, which allows you to smooth out hard and shrill tones. There is also a Feedback Eliminator function on both channels to prevent feedback on stage. On the back you'll find a balanced XLR line out with its own volume, as well as a Ground Lift control for connecting it to a mixer or PA. The stereo FX-loop can be used to add external effects to your sound. Lastly, you can connect your computer or laptop to the USB port for digital recording and any future firmware updates.
