The Maxon FF10 Fire is one of seven Fuzz Elements Series pedals and has been designed to accurately emulate the sound of one of the most sought-after vintage effects pedals ever made in Japan: the Roland Bee Baa Fuzz. Unlike the original pedal, this fuzz-box is equipped with just two knobs, so the treble booster has been left out to keep the housing as compact as possible. Fortunately, the Sustain, Level and Tone pots are all you need to shape those legendary rock sounds from the 1970s.
The Maxon FF10 Fuzz Elements Fire: Two Fuzz Modes
Just like the classic Bee Baa, the FF10 Fire comes loaded with two fuzz modes. By tapping the Notch footswitch, the bright, aggressive fuzz turns into a more focused fuzz with a scooped mid-range. What's more, the FF10 is also a true bypass pedal, and won't alter the original sound of your guitar or bass when it's switched off. All Maxon Fuzz Elements Series pedals, including the FF10 Fire, can be powered using the included 9V battery or supplied with juice using a 9V AC power supply (not included).
The Maxon Fuzz Elements Series Effects Pedals
Fuzz pedals are a big part of the history of rock guitars. Throughout the years, countless models have been built that each produce their own unique sound. The Maxon Fuzz Elements Series Effects Pedals serves up seven models that have been carefully and skilfully designed to emulate the sound of the world's most coveted vintage fuzz effects. Using modern software, every sonic and technological aspect of the original pedals has been mapped out and is reproduced in full with the help of highly advanced analogue circuits.
