Antichthon refers to the ancient Greek idea that there was a 'Counter-Earth'. This opposite world would remain invisible, however, as it would always be on the other side of the sun. Just imagine living in a world where the laws of physics no longer apply, where light and gravity behave abnormally, and everything is completely different. Welcome to the Catablinbread Antichthon, where nothing is as it seems. With this effects pedal it's the volume knob on your guitar that becomes the main controller. From fuzz to tremolo and from overdrive to tone generator, the Antichthon is the 'Big Bang' that triggers new creative impulses.
Antichthon: an odyssey through time and space
The Catalinbread Antichthon is a new kind of effects pedal. You can set the pedal to one of three possible types of effects. The volume knob on your guitar is then used to control the effect. This innovative method will inspire you like never before. In fuzz-tremolo mode the volume knob will vary the speed and sound, from subtle pulses to intense overdriven vibrations. The Antichthon also functions as a dynamic generator even without you playing a single note. When you do play, however, you will be greeted with sounds like Tibetan horns from another dimension, intergalactic dolphins, space cats and dark matter locusts. Finally, there is a harmonic fuzz overdrive to 'wormhole' you back to something more familiar.
