The Monacor STA-1508 is a powerful and versatile 8-channel PA amplifier in a compact, 3U rack housing finished with eight balanced XLR inputs and eight 4 4-Ohm/8-Ohm outputs. the STA-1508 is cut out for professional fixed installations in venues, theatres and other event locations where dependable performance and high audio quality matter. This PA amp supports a wide range of speakers in various configurations yet keeps things amazingly user-friendly. The ground-lift switch counters the unwanted hum that often comes with large-scale PA systems, and every channel comes with its own high-pass and low-pass filter so you can finetune the frequency range as needed. The LED level meter with clipping indicator helps prevent overload while the volume control, which can only be tweaked with a screwdriver, prevents unauthorised use and accidental volume adjustments. The STA-1508 supports every kind of PA system, from big and fixed to small and portable. This 1,280W amplifier can handle four subwoofers and four satellite speakers on its own, and if you need more power capacity per channel, then you can always bridge the eight channels in pairs, giving you four extra-potent 8-Ohm channels for a two-sub/two-speaker set-up. Monacor has also equipped the STA-1508 with various essential safety systems, including a Soft Start function that gradually powers up the internal electronics to avoid voltage surges and help protect your speakers.
