All of Universal Audio's Apollo interfaces are top-notch devices, and the Apollo 8 DUO is certainly no exception. Universal Audio Apollo 8 DUO: preamps, connectors and routing

For the Apollo series, a special preamplifier hes been developed that emulates the sound of a classic Unison preamp like the UA 610. Its warm and familiar tone really brings out the tube characteristics. The interface's microphone inputs run via XLR/jack combo connectors, which means you can also use them to plug in a standard line signal. On the front, you'll find two Hi-Z inputs for recording guitars and/or bass guitars. This Apollo's internal routing is determined by means of a virtual console application that bypasses the CPU of your computer.
