If you're serious about content creation, then the IK Multimedia iRig Pro Quattro I/O might be just what you're looking for. This pro-grade, 4-in/2-out field recording interface features a built-in mixer and MIDI interface, and has been equipped with four high-quality, low-noise preamps alongside an instrument input, RCA and stereo jack inputs, and balanced XLR outputs. You're also looking at stereo mini-jack outputs and headphone outputs, and while this potent-and-portable bit of kit can be connected to iOS and Android devices as well as Windows and Mac systems, it can also be used as a standalone recorder thanks to the built-in limiter and direct monitoring support.

Turn Your Phone Into a Professional Field Recorder

The iRig Pro Quattro I/O features a built-in microphone and can essentially turn your iOS or Android device into a professional field recorder and gain the audio quality of first-rate preamps. The unit can also be set up as a standalone mixer and powered via batteries, USB or a mains power supply. The fitted inputs and outputs support use in combination with DSLR cameras, and you even have the option to copy inputs 1 and 2 to inputs 3 and 4. Since the latter attenuate the signal by 12dB, you're always assured of a clean, undistorted take.

Loopback+ Feature for Live-Streaming

IK Multimedia has also outfitted the iRig Pro Quattro I/O with a Loopback+ feature that allows you to route the audio output of channels 3 and 4 to apps like MixBox, AmpliTube and VocaLive, which can be used to edit the signal before routing the audio back to channels 1 and 2 and your live-streaming software. This way, you're using apps like a front-end processor from your iOS/Android device. Much like a plug-in, this gives you increased flexibility and a heap of creative options. Last but not least, IK Multimedia throws in over £400 worth of software for Windows/Mac and almost £100 worth of iOS apps. In fact, you're getting AmpliTube 5 SE and T-RackS 5 SE, plus two SE/CE titles of choice where you have the pick of SampleTank, Miroslav Philharmonik, MODO Bass, MODO Drum and Syntronik 2.
