Real-time hardware effects: FPGA chip
FPGA makes it possible to load in real-time effects from the Orion Studio HD directly. This means there is no latency because the effects are treated as hardware units, unlike plugins. It also means you can make one or more separate headphone mixes with effects without this having a negative effect on your system's processor. The Orion Studio HD relieves your system and takes care of all the processing itself. As well as accurately-modelled compressors and equalizers by BAE, Grove Hill, Gyraf Audio and Lang, you'll also find plenty of guitar amp and cabinet emulations on the Studio HD.
