Tony Iommi has one of the most influential guitar sounds in the history of rock music. Anyone who thinks of Black Sabbath thinks of the electric guitar. His distinctive sound was the result of a treble-booster in combination with a heavily overdriven Laney Supergroup amp. Creating sound like this is not usually done these days, because it only works best at full volume. Catalinbread designed the Sabbra Cadabra to recreate the sound and playing experience of Iommi's setup. The biggest difference though, is that this stomp box also works well on a clean amp and at volumes that mere mortals can appreciate.

The Catalinbread Sabbra Cadabra is a modified booster based on the Rangemaster, in combination with the preamplifier of a Laney Supergroup. Two circuits work perfectly together to create those 'riffs of doom' tones. Four controls (Range, Gain, Presence and Vol 4) give you the possibility to adjust this stomp box to work perfectly together with your guitar and amplifier. Although the pedal is optimised for drop-tuning, the Sabbra Cadabra can also be used with standard tuning thanks to the Range control, that allows you to adjust it anywhere between treble-boost and full-range boost.
