Allmänt
Music is always changing, and so are guitars! With this SLATFXMG 3-8, Jackson Guitars shows they are capable of developing a guitar with hyper-modern features. There are not many 8-string guitars on the market that are as comprehensive and affordable as this one. Its mahogany body is equipped with two active EMG 808 humbuckers which ensures an incredibly heavy, tight sound that's ideal for heavier rock genres. In standard tuning, the low F# packs a powerful punch. You can really feel the power of this 8-string metal monster, which makes it a joy to play. By experimenting with different tunings, you can create and perfect your own unique style. This Jackson is built to take a beating and the matte black finish gives it just the right look.
Jackson SLATFXMG 3-8: construction
The extra strings on this Jackson create tension on the 3-part maple neck, which is compensated by the graphite reinforcement. What's more, Jackson has given it a scale length of 26.5 inches so the low strings in particular stay securely in place. In combination with the hard tail bridge, this guarantees great tuning stability. Like all Soloist models, the SLATFXMG also possesses a neck-through construction, granting you unlimited access to the highest frets and adding extra sustain as well. The rosewood fretboard has a flat 16-inch radius so even the lowest strings can be bent with ease without unwanted noise or tones being cut off. The ingenious design of this Jackson shredder makes it surprisingly easy to play.
Jackson Guitars
The renowned American brand Jackson was founded by Grover Jackson in 1980 and gained popularity with the release of the V model, commissioned by Randy Rhoads. Now, many well-known musicians own and play Jackson guitars. They have an elegant design, sharp headstock, shark fin inlay position markers, and a powerful sound that's perfect for metal. The Soloist (with neck-thru construction) is the most popular model, and the X series includes the more affordable versions.
