Real American-made guitars remain the holy grail for the most demanding guitarists. Part of Jackson's American Series, the Virtuoso is carefully put together in Corona, California where it's armed with a set of Seymour Duncan pickups and shipped out in a matching foam-care Jackson guitar case.

The American Series Virtuoso: The Successor to the Dinky

The Virtuoso is the successor of the Dinky. A few decades ago, the Dinky had a smaller body than the Soloist, hence the name. However, in recent years the dimensions of the body have been identical. The only difference between the two models is that the Dinky has a bolt-on construction while the Soloist has a neck-through build. That's why Jackson Guitars now says goodbye to the Dinky and replaces it with the Virtuoso, which has an alder solid body bolted to a 5-piece caramelised maple neck.

High-Grade Specs

The alder body has been loaded with a set of Seymour Duncan JB/'59 humbuckers and a 5-way pickup switch for extra tonal flavours. In addition, you're looking at a striped ebony fretboard with a compound radius and 24 jumbo frets for maximum playing comfort, plus a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh lacking tuners for maximum tuning stability. In other words, USA-grade specs across the board.
