Allmänt
An ode to 70 years of a legend, the body of the Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster is shaped by two hand-selected chunks of alder where the offset seam has been placed on the treble side. This build combines with a one-piece quarter-sawn maple neck to complete the sweet, throwback foundation. The period-correct nitrocellulose lacquer doesn't just come in a timeless Wide-Fade 2-Colour Sunburst but has been given the full Super Heavy Relic finish for a singular look. This six-string one-off comes complete with a specially embroidered hardshell case, a big bag of case candy and a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary 1954 Strat: Stone-Cold Class
This Stratocaster has been polished off with all of the period-correct 1954 features, from the snug feel of the forearm contour to the bright and resonant trebles, refined mids and tight basses of the build. So that the amplified sound is just as authentic, the Custom Shop has loaded on a full set of hand-wound '54 Strat single-coils backed up by a single volume pot, two tone pots and a five way switch, and reinforced by Vintage '54 Strat wiring and a wax-paper cap.
Retro Playability
Comfortable, trusted playability is laid on thick by the 70th Anniversary '54 Strat Back-Shape neck profile, which has been teamed up with a set of twenty-one Medium-Vintage 47095 frets, a 1.625 inch bone nut and a graduating compound fretboard radius that warps seamless from a round 7.25 inches at the headstock to a flatter 9.5 inches at the body. The picture is expertly completed by the 1954-style white ABS pot caps and pickup covers, the Custom Shop Vintage synchronised tremolo bridge and the single-ply white .070 PVA pickguard.
