Allmänt
Guitarists like the Foo Fighter's Chris Shiflett have been instrumental in making the Fender Telecaster more popular than ever before in the heavy punk and rock music scene. Chris himself is virtually inseparable from his Tele Deluxe, which is why Fender gave him this special signature model, the Chris Shiflett Telecaster Deluxe in black. Whether he's rocking out with the Foo Fighters or finger-picking with his country group the Dead Peasants, he's never without his Telecaster!
Fender Chris Shiflett Telecaster Deluxe: Construction
Basically, this Telecaster is an exact replica of the original 1970s model, with an alder body for a balanced sound and the 21-fret rosewood fretboard and maple neck are responsible for adding warm overtones. The Chris Shiflett signature model has a modern 12-inch radius and Custom shop pickups. You'll find Chris's own signature on the back of the headstock and printed on the included Fender case.
Powerful humbucker pickups
The original Tele Deluxe came complete with Fender Wide Range humbucker pickups, which provided more output and brightness than a single-coil. Because his style and genre require a heavier sound, Chris Shiflett chose a set of these more traditional humbuckers for his signature Deluxe. Fender developed two special high-output humbuckers, the CS1 at the bridge and the CS2 at the neck. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls. Using the 3-way pickup switch, you can select either the neck or bridge pickup, or a combination of both.
