The U2 guitarist trusts his faithful Strat to shape his unique sound and, as such, it was just a matter of time before he was awarded his own Fender Artist Signature Stratocaster. This model, aptly named The Edge Strat, is the result of a close collaboration between the famous musician and the good people of Fender. The result is so good that it's since replaced The Edge's vintage Fender as his workhorse during countless world tours.

The Edge Strat: Versatile Sound

The Edge Strat was designed to provide a versatile sound and optimal playability. Its Custom Shop Fat 50s single-coil pickups at the middle and neck position are incredibly reactive to your playing dynamics, while also offering improved bass reproduction. At the bridge, you'll find a DiMarzio FS-1 which gives this black Strat a balanced sound and enough output to keep its tone bright and clear, even at high volume.

Great Playing Comfort

Another noteworthy feature is this guitar's quartersawn neck with maple fretboard, which gives it just a bit more bite. Thanks to the rounded heel, all 21 frets are easy to reach, while the modern C profile, 9.5" fretboard radius and the 1.685" string nut offer a comfortable and familiar feel. Finally, the intonation is also accurately adjustable thanks to the saddles on the 2-point Deluxe synchronised tremolo. In short, The Edge Strat is an elegant model for advanced guitar players.
