The ESP LTD MH-417BFM is modelled after the MH-417, yet is notably different in several important aspects. This electric guitar has a baritone size, meaning its strings are considerably longer - a very attractive feature for metal guitarists, as it ensures the strings don't become slack in extremely low tuning. In addition to its 27-inch scale length, the MH-417 features a remarkable Flamed Maple top with a gorgeous grain pattern that shines beautifully through the transparent black sunburst lacquer for an overall luxurious look.

MH-417BFM: mahogany, neck-thru-body and EMG

When designing this excellent-sounding instrument, LTD chose mahogany to be its predominant wood type. Mahogany is a lightweight type of wood that ensures a powerful, deep resonance that can be perfectly discerned in any mix. Additionally, the MH-417BFM features a neck-through-body construction for improved sustain and virtually no heel, leaving lots of room for your left hand to reach even the highest frets. The amplified sound has an immensely tight and clear character thanks to the EMG 81-7 and EMG 707, pickups that have made quite a name as seven-string experts.
