Judging by the model's push/pull potentiometer, tonal variation was obviously a main concern when Charvel developed the Pro Mod San Dimas. Pull up the guitar's volume knob to split the bridge humbucker's coils, resulting in a typical single-coil sound. The tone knob, meanwhile, has a No-Load potentiometer, which basically functions as a regular control, but transmits your uncut guitar signal once the knob is turned up to 10. This increases your output and really makes this Charvel's character shine through.

In 1974, Wayne Charvel opened up his own guitar repair shop. When Asian companies started to imitate his products, however, he decided to build his own guitars.
