While the Roland TD-07KX V-Drums e-kit can neatly slot into the corner of any living room, the double-ply mesh heads make this model feel like a full-sized acoustic kit. The drum pads are also ultra-quiet, making this the perfect training and rehearsal tool for fledgling as well as professional drummers. As a welcome bonus, the TD-07KX edition comes with the extra-large PDX-12 snare and a hyper-realistic FD-9 hi-hat pedal.

The Roland TD-07 V-Drums Module

The module has been pre-loaded with twenty-five ready-made kits that can be tweaked and personalised at will, or you can just as easily scroll through the 143 on-board sounds and build entirely bespoke kit configurations from the ground up, setting yourself up with a custom drum sound for every genre under the sun. Adjust the sounds using the built-in equalizer and adding some Ambience before adding one of the thirty multi-effects, and using the integrated Bluetooth function, stream tracks from your phone and play along to hone your timing. Via MIDI, the Roland TD-07 is also compatible with a number of music apps, whether coupled via Bluetooth or USB.
