The drums that make up ATV's aDrums electronic kit don't just look like those on an acoustic kit, they play just like acoustic drums and the sound quality is second to none as well. The aD5 drum module may only have the sounds of 5 acoustic kits on board, but each part has 100 samples for sublime quality and extra sounds can be added. This Expanded kit consists of an 18 x 12-inch bass drum, a 13 x 5.5-inch snare drum, two 10 x 6.5-inch toms and a 13 x 12-inch floor tom. You also get cymbal pads that include a 14-inch hi-hat, two 14-inch crash cymbals and a 16-inch ride. Just in case that's not enough, stands are included as well.
Multiple Triggers
The drum and cymbal pads both have multiple triggers that accurately pick up every nuance and dynamic detail of your playing so so that you can play exactly the same way as you would on an acoustic kit. Unusually, he hi-hat is fitted with a non-contact sensor that precisely tracks its movement for incredibly accurate sound reproduction. The bass drum trigger is highly accurate too and also works with double bass drum pedals.
aD5 Module
The aD5 drum module is responsible for producing this electronic kit's sounds and it has an easy-to-use interface. You can accurately adjust various settings including things like the depth of a rimshot, the striking point on a cymbal and even the cymbal's angle! The aD5 also has MIDI functionality which means recording drums has never been easier. There's an SD card slot and a USB-B port so that you can easily connect it to a computer and for silent practice sessions, there's a headphone socket.
